Love Links – August 2013

Summer is winding down and here we are again!  Can you believe it is already time to look at some of my favorite posts for the month.  I hope these little snippets will provide helpful information you can use to insure your family’s health and well-being along with a few thoughtful  and a few  “just for fun” posts!

First here are a couple from my own personal blog that I am pretty happy with. ‎

White Willow Bark can be a safe alternative to aspirin and with a little peppermint and stevia, not a bad tasting tea.

One of our family favorites recipes for enjoying when the weather is steaming  Chicken Salad w/Cashews & Grapes.

Don’t forget Real Food for Busy People  – a busy Real Food Foodies’ best friend!  This has wonderful on-line cooking classes from my sponsor Village Green Netword. When you purchase through this website; althought the cost is the same to you, I receive a small commission that helps keep my blog going.  To which I say, “Thank you, I appreciate your support very much!”

Looking at some of my favorite posts across the internet I wish I could put them all here but there just isn’t room or time so I’ll just post a few.

For all you creative thinkers or those of you wanting to become more creative; Aadel has 5 More Ways to Foster Creative Thinking.  Check it out – who knows what you might come up after applying a few of the tips to your life.

We make our own multiple vitamin supplement and Naturally Mindful showed me a way to add a little extra vitamin C that your kids (grandkids) will love!  See these vitamin C treats at  Homemade Elderberry Gummies.

If you are anything like me when it comes to taking photos, there is lots of room for improvement so, this is something I can really use!  And I’m sure a lot of the tips presented in this review (book) can be applied to other subjects also!  Tasty Food Photography Review.

Do you love chocolate?  See what Anya has to say in  Can We Really Eat Chocolate? Things You Should Know.

After you get done eating all that chocolate you better go read this. Homemade Butter that Burns Calories and she’s right – lots of them.

Our daughter and son-in-law live in a yurt during the summer so I’m always interested in reading Erin’s (and Mike) from Blue Yurt Farms posts, I wholeheartedly agree with this one 31 Reasons I Love Our Contry Life.

More sweet stuff – or maybe not. Sustainability

I am absolutely in love with this perfect way to boil & peel hard boiled eggs from Arsy at  Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs Every Time.  Please let me know how your experience goes.

What a great thoughtful post this is: Seven Wrap-Up. And here is another one Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk.

This is very important information if you care about your health and the health of your loved ones! Tips For Avoiding GMO Foods.  And while you’re at it; check out my Dear Monsanto post.  Sometimes this stuff is so scary I want to bury my head in the sand but know that won’t help anyone!

Maybe not as dramatic but every bit as toxic – Is Sugar Toxic.

Even if you already love coconut oil/butter, check Lori’s post Start Lovin Coconut Butter.

Time for some of the best looking recipes out there this month:

Until the next post –
